Network Engineer

12m FTC (with a view to go permanent) | London/ hybrid

We’re partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a talented Network Engineer. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies, large-scale projects and the opportunity to shape and secure a business-critical network environment. You’ll join a collaborative IT team where professional development and progression are actively supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and manage LAN/WAN infrastructure using Cisco Campus Networking and Nexus switches
  • Manage wireless infrastructure including Cisco Wireless Controllers and Wi-Fi networks
  • Configure and maintain Palo Alto Prisma Access firewalls and FortiGate security solutions
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to enforce policies, assess risks and integrate new technologies
  • Support and optimise Cisco ISE policies for authentication and access control
  • Liaise with third-party managed service providers where required
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation (HLD/LLD)

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a network engineering role within the legal or professional services sectors
  • Strong understanding of core networking (Layer 2/3, BGP, OSPF, network troubleshooting)
  • Proven experience with Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches
  • Hands-on expertise with Cisco ISE (AAA, RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X)
  • Experience with Palo Alto Prisma Access and SD-WAN solutions
  • Wireless networking knowledge, particularly Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers
  • FortiGate firewall experience (NSE certifications desirable)
