DVF Recruitment are currently supporting a well-established, insurer headquartered in Paris, serving both individual and commercial clients across France. With a focus on innovation and customer-centric services, our client is embarking on a series of business change programmes aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, digital capability, and regulatory compliance.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver a range of cross-functional business change initiatives. This role will play a key part in shaping the future of our operations, with responsibility for managing project lifecycles, engaging senior stakeholders, and overseeing a small team of project resources and business analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex business change programmes, including process transformation, operational improvements, and regulatory initiatives.
- Oversee and coordinate a small project team (typically 2–5 FTEs), providing guidance, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
- Work closely with functional leads (Operations, IT, Claims, Underwriting, Finance) to define scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk registers.
- Prepare and present project updates to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
- Ensure alignment with internal change governance frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and change impact assessments.
- Support change management activities, including communications, training, and user adoption.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience (7+ years) in project or programme management, ideally within the insurance or wider financial services sector.
- Demonstrable background delivering business transformation or operational change initiatives.
- Experience leading small project teams or managing matrix resources.
- Strong understanding of change methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile, PMP, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
- Fluent in French (required); proficiency in English is a strong plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field
- Project Management certifications (Prince2, PMP, AgilePM, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with insurance operating models and regulatory landscape in France (e.g. ACPR, Solvency II)
