No.1: How to Land the Job
After 17 years in recruitment, I’ve seen what works (and what doesn’t). On Fridays, I’ll be sharing some practical tips that actually make a difference.
Let’s kick things off with my top 3 to help you land the job:
- Prepare like a pro
Go beyond just scanning the job spec. Research the company, understand the role, and most importantly, know who you’re meeting. Look them up, find some common ground, and be ready to connect.
And don’t forget: know what you bring to the table. Confidence comes from preparation.
- Ask killer questions
Not the “what are the hours?” kind. I mean the kind that show depth and drive:
🔹 What inspires you about working here?
🔹 What does success look like in the first 6 months?
🔹 What could a personal development plan look like for me here?
- Be authentic
Don’t try to be who you think they want — just be you. It’s your superpower and your edge.
